The Campus Recreation & Fitness department is now accepting applications for fall student employment positions (indicate on the application “academic year” as the work period you are interested in).

Positions being hired for fall 2026:

  • Advertising & Design Technician - Graphic design students looking to add to their portfolios can apply for this position to help create promotional flyers/posters, t-shirts, and manage the digital signage system for the Recreation Center front desk TV.

  • BodyWorks Fitness Monitor - Students will perform desk duties such as answering phone; supervise the facility and enforce policies; provide daily facility and equipment upkeep/cleaning. Prefer students who are already enrolled in the HPMS exercise science major but others who are interested in the major can also apply.

  • Facility Supervisor - Students interested in this position must have current first aid and CPR/AED certification to cover the Recreation Center. Students work at the front desk to check IDs, process memberships, supervise the facility and check out equipment.

  • Intramural Official - Students who have experience in sports will be trained to referee intramural games. Prior playing and/or officiating experience is helpful. Need officials for basketball, soccer, volleyball, floor hockey, wiffleball and other sports.

  • Lifeguard - Students interested in this position must have current certification in lifeguard training, first aid and CPR/AED and have prior experience lifeguarding.

During the academic year, students with work-study and the appropriate interest and experience for a specific position are hired first. Those with student hourly and hourly authorizations are also eligible to be hired in Campus Recreation. Student employees receive training and supervision for all positions.
